Aloha

Hey team

just wanted to let you know that I'm thinking of you all. I have met some great people here on this trip. I have had good talks and listened to great stories of trials from our top leaders! If you join the call tonight you will hear some of those stories.

I wanted to post some cool photos but the online connect is not fast enough to accommodate uploading photos so I will have to wait until we return home.

I am real encouraged by the people here. This is a great time to connect with others and share in building skills and get good ideas for the business. Oh yea, Andomo has invited us to his Super Saturday BOP on the 4th of March. I will give you the address as soon as I get it. This is going to be a great deal. You need to get to this meeting also.

This trip has shown me the heart of some of the big names in the business. These people have a strong conviction about helping those who really want it. I have spoken to a big name in WLG and he shared how he has to evaluate himself and his team every year. He makes a point to identify the lost time he spends with the people that say they want it but do not move in the path that leads to success. He has to identify the people who want it and work hard to help them get it. It was good to know that I am not the only person in this business that has this problem.

1st day in Hawaii!!!

Hey Team!

THIS - IS - GREAT!

I can't believe this place!!! It is sooo beautiful here. There are so many people here. All of the big guys from the company are here. Everyone is so nice and friendly. I am talking to the movers and the shakers and they are giving me the inside to what they do to build their team! Man this is the place to be!!!

We arrived on the Big island around 4pm Hawaiian time (6pm PST). My wife and I took a taxi with Charles Catledge and his wife. Of course I picked his brain on some things. We got to the hotel and I mean, wow! This hotel is beautiful. We received our envelope of money and our sports bag with beach towels, hats and shirts. Now here is the kicker. On my wife and my bag is a hand written note from Hubert's personal assistant! The note reads "Sean Calhoun, Hubert $ Norma would like for you and Tracey to join them at their table at the WLG Welcome reception tonight at 7:00 pm. Their table will have a reserved sign on it. We look forward to seeing you tonight!" WOW! I first thought "What did I do wrong" Hey, I still have that water company in me. then I thought, "why would he personally invite me to his table when he has the big guys here?" Man, I tell you this was one dinner I was not going to be late to no matter how tired I am.

We hurried up got dressed and ran down to the reception! There was everyone there. We where shaking hands with people like Dave Thawley, Andomo Tolson, Jeff Miles, and Clayton Sampson came up from behind and hugged me. I mean it was like being at a family reunion. Tracey ran to the food line because it was a long flight. We grabbed our food and I mean the food was as they say off the hook! Choice cut steak, fish, chicken native dishes, roast, all kinds of vegies and more! We went to Hubert's table and we sat with other's that where like myself. Some of you remember Mike "Money Maker". He was at the table along two other couples. Hubert had us there and he talked to us. Asked us how the business was. We got to ask him direct question and he did some coaching. This was great! Sitting at Hubert Humphrey's table asking him questions like how can I get better organized and going over the 8 speed filters to make sure I understood them. The Leader's Networks is nothing like this!

After the reception we all just hung out in the grass area overlooking the ocean talking to people. The Kouha's said hello to you. Buck wanted to talk to you all. I am making arrangements for that to happen. Jeff Miles told me to tell you all to get the new Field Builder's Training. And that was the first night!

I am on the way down to the 6am breakfast and then the first session with Hubert and the other leaders at 8am. Stay posted for more info!

Another exciting aspect of the new Quantum Compensation Plan is the adjustment to the Infinity Overrides levels which shifts more points to the Generation Overrides. This change allows you to have all the tremendous benefits of Infinity Overrides from the past with a new substantial increase in Generational Overrides that allows you to receive income from a team with out the fear of being "flanked" by one of your leaders.

This exciting new Quantum Growth Plan will go into effect on March 1, 2006. We will also be honoring promotions on the old and new promotion plans through the end of March and then starting April all promotions will be earned on the new guidelines. Also, all validation requirements for RMD-SEFCs are still in effect.

All of the marketing materials- compensation poster, flipcharts, tri-folds and downloadable presentations will be updated to reflect the new changes and will be made available by March 1st. An all-company email will be sent the day everything is ready for order/download.

Did you know that we as GEL employees can do Commercial loans? There is a twist to it though. We do not do the commercial loans like we do residential loans. The commercial loans are built as a referral only basses.

I have spent some time on the phone talking with Rick Normington of GEL Commercial and I will be setting up a conference call so he can explain who we are to you. You may have your prospects on the call also so they can hear this great info too.

GEL Commercial, a Division of Global Equity Lending, Inc., makes financing for small business owners and investors an easier, hassle-free business transaction. Since commercial financing is a highly specialized business that is typically more complex than residential financing, we have developed a “Commercial Loan Referral Program”. The Referral Program allows you to participate in the commercial business without getting distracted from your WLG, GEL or GRM business.

These real estate backed loans must be between $100,000 and $1,000,000 and conform to the following:

Special Purpose/Unique Properties –GEL Commercial within the GEL Success product category will consider all commercial and unique properties that fall within our program guidelines and loan amounts, including day care and educational facilities, funeral homes, campgrounds, outdoor entertainment centers, trailer and mobile home parks and marinas.
Hotels/Motels – With our industry knowledge and expertise, we feel we understand the non-flagged world of hotels and motels better than most lenders. Our valuation assumptions are based on facts relative to the specific property.

“Quick Reference” Guidelines for GEL Success.

Perfect candidates for GEL Success loans are those who need financing for an income-producing or commercial property, but cannot qualify for traditional bank financing because they're unable or unwilling to verify income or assets. Here are clients you should consider:

Clients without sufficient credit history
Business owners who want to take cash out of their property
Entrepreneurs and self-employed people who want to purchase a site for their business
Real estate investors who wish to put as little as 10% down (GEL Success allows CLTVs up to 90%)
Income verification for small investors and business owners can be a hassle. Unlike banks and other conventional lenders that verify the borrower's personal income, we can pre-approve your clients quickly with a simple GEL Commercial ALT-A application that simply states the borrower's income and assets. The only income verification required is on the property being financed. We require rent rolls and leases on properties with more than four units certified by the borrower. Our easy Stated Income/Asset (ALT-A) process allows your self-employed clients who cannot verify all of their income to usually qualify under GEL Success.

Environmentally sensitive property types such as auto repair shops and dry cleaners can be submitted under GEL Success but the owner needs to complete an environmental questionnaire that must be submitted with the loan package. The information is reviewed by an insurance company in order to determine whether or not the property poses an environmental risk. The cost of the premium varies depending on the loan amount and property type. However, the cost is substantially less than that of a typical Phase I environmental report. By offering this environmental screening process, our GEL Success program can finance riskier properties that many other lenders will not.

A typical GEL Success Borrower Profile finds one primary common denominator. They usually have a large amount of real estate equity and an immediate need for short-term capital. They cannot or will not go through the strenuous and time-consuming underwriting process required by conventional lenders.

This is another market that we have to tap into! I know, you are asking, "How do I find a commercial loan?" Well, talk to people that are regular loan officers or better yet insurance sells people. What about going to a realtor who works with commercial clients and show him how we work. Let that realtor know that you are building a team to help him close the deals. He might refer someone to you.

I have been working on a insurance sells man for about 3 months now. He does loans too. He loves the fact that he can build a team and still personal produce. He has a client that needs a commercial loan and now he wants to join us. This insurance guy is the guy that put the insurance on my house! Of course I was going to prospect him! He makes money off of me every month when I pay my insurance!

Tool To Help

We need to be more aggressive with our business. One way of aggressiveness is to send mass mailing to neighborhoods. Invite people to a presentation at your home or at a local Denny's restaurant or at a friend's office. Anywhere you can fit people and present this opportunity to them is a place to grow your business.

Here is a tool for you to create a "Farm" list. No, I'm not talking Old McDonald nor am I asking you to grow rutabagas. A farm list is an address list of whole neighborhoods or a classification of property listings. What I have here for you is a web site that you can obtain your own Farm list.

Whith this web site you can find property estimated value. You can look for the dates of sale for surrounding properties. You can also print out a list of homes in the area of your inputted address. You can print out as many addresses as you want to generate leads for mailing letters to.

What I am doing personally is printing a list of 50 to 100 addresses a week and mailing these people an invitation to our Rancho Cucamonga BOP and Glendora BOP. I use the letter found in the LFS Manual with some editing to the wording. I add a flyer in the envelope and my business card with paperclip holding it all together.

Now you can be creative with this. Just get in contact with the public about this opportunity. You can add the phone numbers found on the last post. Those two phone numbers are powerful! People will love it. We need to reach masses of people to get the right team built.
