Horizons From the Field

Hello Horizons,

From time to time we will hear from associates about great tips from the field. This will help us all with inspiration, motivation and a good insight on issues and topic. This will all benefit to help us grow our business and regain focus. Today, our first contribution to the Horizons "From the Field" is written by our Senior Associate Joyce Tabak of Thousand Oaks California. Here is a great tip as to a movie she saw.


I recommend everyone go see THE LAST HOLIDAY....WITH QUEEN LATIFAH. WHY.... In the movie she has made a possibilities scrap book. It shows all her goals and dreams and she goes thrugh it everyday.....Then she finds out she only has a few months to live. To find out the rest go see the movie....Your Kids should see it too. You can relate to WLG and our goals and dreams and use some of the stuff from the movie to make your dreams come true. To find out the rest of the story go see the movie. Time to get paid!!

NEW REFI BOOM??? FOOD FOR THOUGHT!!!

The Feds just recently announced that over $1 Trillion in Adjustable Rate Mortgages are set to adjust in March. Just to put some perspective on the situation: average start rate was 6-6.5% and average first cap was 2-3% a year ago, (BTW- ResMAE’s is only 1% not a bad selling point right now), making this first adjustment appear to be app. 9%. Further to keep in perspective was that many of these ARMS sold two years ago only had a 2 year interest only period not the 5 year that is typical on today’ 2/28s. So not only will the first adjustment be at 33% higher rate but also a much higher payment taking into account the move from IO to P & I.



Also, further driving a new refi boom is that the credit card repayment section of the bankruptcy act went into effect last week. For those that do not know the minimum payment on credit cards is going from 2 to 4%. Pretty stiff for some families that are already over extended. Further creating this perfect storm is it is tax season along with property tax time right around the corner.



For those that like to look at the economy inflation is rearing its head and most importantly Americans have overextended themselves more than ever before.

Boot Camp by Linda Lang

We have a special treat for you with this post. As you have heard on the audio post we have just had the 2006 kick off Boot Camp. it was a great event! I want to say congratulations to the associates who where recognized at the Boot Camp with an award:

We have a recap of the Boot Camp that happened here in California, Temecula city at the Temeku Theater (our EFC rented a movie theater!) January 21st, 2006. Here is Linda lang in here words.

Boot Camp Recap

On Saturday, about 350 of us attended Buck’s Boot Camp. We always learn a lot, but this was really special. Light bulbs were going on all over the room! It gave us a fresh insight as to where this company came from and is really going.

Think of it this way. WLG has been “in pre-school” these first three years – getting to know and position the products, teaching the LFS system, preparing for growth – generally pacing the development of the company so that a strong, solid foundation is put in place-- not just to grow… but to explode nationally and, very soon, internationally.

Hubert called during the meeting and spoke to us about his vision. He expects 1 million associates by the end of the year. Forget the associate ranks. Focus on RMD. Everyone is an RMD or RMD in training. We are selling the dream and the crusade i.e. a twin engine aircraft. He also said this is a tough business. Keep it simple. Don‘t get distracted. Stay the course.

Field Building is now a must. Become a field builder and train your team – or assign your new associate-in-training immediately to a field builder. No recruit is to be without one. The field builder is to get the new employee started within 48 hours and stay with him or her daily until he/she receives that first paycheck. That is how we are going to make money – by helping our new recruits make money – not eventually, but within the first 30 days.

There was also a lot of focus upon GRM/GRA. We had four veteran real estate brokers in the audience – each with 22-30 plus years of experience. They stood up and explained – with passion – their reasons for joining GRM. They saw it – the revolution – the overrides – having a life – and everyone stated without doubt that this company is going to change the way the real estate industry works.

We also heard from James Dingman, GRM Director. He spoke about how 2005 was the year of industry awareness and understanding the product. GRM is now in 32 states and has 450 licensed agents. 2006 is the year of growth and expansion. We will become a legitimate force in the real estate industry with over 3000 licensed agents by the end of the year. 2007 will be the year of explosion throughout the country. We will become an industry force with 15,000 licensed agents.

For those of you in CA, Jeanette Champagne, our CA Broker of Record, brought down the house when she announced that she has “brought GA to CA.” Starting late Feb., she will set up trainings in her new San Diego offices so CA associates can study for and take the GA real estate license here. No more need to go to Las Vegas, take the test there, and wait 3 to 6 months to get the license. With the new plan, we get the license the same day we pass the test and submit the paperwork. More details will be announced shortly.

Ron Standfield – our NV Broker of Record -- talked about the opportunity there. The inventory of houses has improved greatly. At the time of our Vegas convention last July, there was 0 inventory. They now have a 5 mo inventory. NV also has the honor of being having the largest number of foreclosures. He also said that he expected a correction in the mortgage market to occur within the next few years – we could see rates of 12-14% which would cut into the refi market. However, people will always be buying and selling homes, so getting onboard with GRM or GRA now will insure a continued income stream.

Buck, of course, sees GRM as huge. Look for a lot more training materials and trainings on approaching real estate agents and brokers. For those in GRA, remember you can also recruit and build across the country, even if you do not list and sell yourself. Get your mind to think of the whole picture -- WLG, GEL and GRM – not just WLG/GEL.

The rest of the day focused upon invaluable recruiting and training approaches which we will cover in future team trainings.

WLG is just beginning. We are in the forefront of revolutionizing two of the biggest industries in the country. Work it hard for the next two to five years and you will have that 6- or 7-figure walk-away income.

The Challange


$50,000 in 90 Days!



Horizons, we are in a challenge. We have 90 day to earn $50,000 dollars! This challenge started on Saturday January 14th, 2006 after the workshop in Thousand oaks California.

We have been learning the importance of doing the Leadership Format System's 8 Speed Filters along with the marketing campaign with photos and letters. The team is off to a fast start! After the work shop on Saturday the team filled out hundreds of envelops and took digital photos to mail letters to everyone in their phone books!

The great system for this campaign is to mail out the letters to all the people you have addresses to. 3-4 days after you mail the letters get with your upline or another associate who is willing to help you. Call those people with a script from the LFS Manuel fourth edition. Be sure to invite them to the BOP or a One-On-One presentation. Instantly put them through the 8 Speed Filters.

THERE IS NO EXCUSE TO NOT MAKE THIS MONEY!

We are also working the DVD drop system (found in the LFS Manual). This DVD drop has already produced results in some of the associate's businesses. Please read up on how the DVD Drop system will work for you in the LFS Manual.

Working the system and going through large numbers of people will assure us the every associate working this business will earn $50,000 dollars in 90 days!

Every associate that earns their $50,000 dollars will be interviewed for the Horizons Newsletter along with a picture. These associates will be set as an example for the new associate who will be joining the team later in the year.

Hubert's Home

Hello Horizons

Yes, that is the CEO, Founder and coach of the greatest company in the world and his wife Norma Humphrey. We are inside Mr. Humphrey's 55,000 square foot house that sits on 150,000 acher lot! Wow!!

The house is a beautiful home. Hubert has a bowling alley, a 40 seat top of the line movie theater ( there is a concession stand and a ticket booth in the theater!) and he has a horse equestrian! There is a lake with a boat house next to it for fishing in the lake (it is stocked wit 45,000 fish!). Hubert has a camp ground on the property for hiking, camp fires and everything outdoors. He has 3 playgrounds for his grand children, a soda shop and an arcade! this house has it all! While I walked through the home all I thought about was how Hubert started off as a regular guy who wanted more in life. He was tired of his $2,400 per month (todays rate) job living in his 1,100 sq ft house.








27 years later he has 3 tour busses parked in his driveway and can give 3 tours inside his home at the same time giving 3 tours outside his home in limo golf carts! Wow, that is a long way from 1,100 sq ft home. Norma Humphrey's closet is 1,200 sq ft! What a life style change with only recruiting people to a better life. He has this all from recruiting!
This gave me so much hope I wanted to explode! I am at that point. I want more for my family. I have always dreamed of having a compound with my mother my sisters and my mother-in-law living in thier own houses with a huge park, waterfall with pool and the beach in my backyard. If Hubert can do it in 27 years I know I can do it!

Hubert's house is now the largest house in the South East. This record was held by Evander Hollyfield the Heavey weight champion boxer.

I just wanted to give you a glips of how I felt at Hubert's home last week. I will update the Blog with notes from the RMD Academy soon.
