New look, New site

Welcome New Base shop builders!

As some of you have noticed we have a new address and a new look. I wanted to change it up for the new season we are entering into. It is almost fall! We are in a great time in the year where people are thinking differently and deals are being done. The harvest is plentiful but the true recruiters are few! I have never ever had so many prospects as I do now just because I have been in the field and talking to people. Although there is a lot I can share about this I will save this for another time but you don't want to miss it. I want to let everyone know that we as WLG associates provide a very good service to the public. I want to share an experience I just recently had with a new associate's client. This serves to be training for all including myself.

I have been working with a new associate who has his first loan in the pipe. We moved fast on this deal and we got it to docs in 3 weeks! We went to order docs and the client got cold feet and did not want to continue. This was turning into a nightmare! The client wasn't sure of the Cash Flow Option we where getting him. The client's wife was never involved in the decisions of the deal. Although the client was happy with the option loan only last week, this week his wife killed the deal once she found out what was happening.

Learning lesson: Always include the husband and wife in the first meeting when you have the first mortgage analysis done on client even if she is not on the deed.

I made an appointment to meet with the client and his wife and here is how it went:

When I walked in the house they greeted me warmly and offered me water and small talk. As soon as I sat down the wife blew into me about what she don't want. The husband began to tell me what he didn't like. Whew! I was double teamed! I let them vent. They slowed down after 15 minutes of beating. I went straight to our GEL "Harness the Power of your mortgage" presentation. After that I had there attention. We had a good meeting after that. So, have to do a little more work on this deal but do you know that they where talking in Spanish to each other and then told me that they where talking to each other about joining the company and how many people they know that would love to refi their house into what we are doing for them?!!! Wow!

Note to pay attention to, lean on the system! I could have tried to explain what we where doing and tried to get the client to understand but it was better to listen to them first then do a presentation then ask them "what do you want?". This was very successful. I hope this testimonies help you work with your client and future clients. i have learned a lot from this.

You are a part of a great company!

Vission Session a Success!

Greetings, Saturday's Vision Session had a big impact! As you can tell from the pictures we had a great time.

Last Saturday (July 29th, 2006) we had a team "Vision Session" This was a meeting for all. The meeting started off with a shock to our everyday out look as R.J. Jackson hit us between the eyes with our own assumptions. We had the privilege of hearing the wisdom and experience of this great speaker. She took us for a trip in our minds. She started with recognition of "Things are not always as they appear" and drove us home with "You have to see your future and what you want in it to have it!"

The associates found out that just because they have eyes it doesn't mean they have vision. We identified the type of vision we currently have and how it can be limiting to our future or how to improve it. We learned the importance of having vision and what it takes to develop your vision. We learned how to develop a road map for your vision. Last of all we worked on the development of our new or soon to be vision with a "Vision Board".

As you can see in some of the pics people are holding up a "Vision Board". This is a map of things we have found in our self. This is how we see life and what we want out of life. It is a reminder of oneself. Even though I am still working on my Vision Board I do believe I will be working on new boards for the rest of my life.

I want to thank the leaders of the Monday Morning Leader's Calls for putting this event together. It was a great time of sharing and getting to know each other. Those of you who attended keep your future in mind and remember "how do you look at the world, like an elephant, rabbit, owl, bird or human?" Work to expand your vision. "it is a terrible thing to see and have no vision" - Helen Keller

Enjoy the pics!
